Pine landscape and protected area
Wooded, pine-covered hills surround Paliouri. Another connection with nature is Akrotiri: the area in Paliouri is designated as a Natura 2000 protected area under code GR1270008. The hills shape the description of the surroundings, while Akrotiri is a specifically named protected area.
