The Rhine, Park Island and green paths

Ludwigshafen-Rheingönheim Wildlife Park is located in the Rhine floodplain forests and covers 30 hectares. More than 200 animals from 30 predominantly European wildlife species live there. Walking paths lead to the animal enclosures. If you want to combine wildlife with outdoor trails, you can do both here in one visit; the Rhine promenade, by contrast, focuses on the riverbank and views across the river.
Art, exhibitions and civic life
The Wilhelm Hack Museum focuses on 20th- and 21st-century art. Its collection comprises nearly 10,000 works; the museum’s landmark is a colorful ceramic wall by Joan Miró.
