Nadrensee lies between three lakes. There is a walking trail by Lake Dammsee, and several local bodies of water can be fished with a fishing permit. Other highlights include the Church of Nadrensee with its freestanding bell tower, the manor house and Route 10 – East of the Randowbruch, whose route passes through Nadrensee. When choosing accommodation, it helps to decide what you want to focus on during your stay: time by the water, architecture or a longer bike ride. You can choose Nadrensee based on whether lakes, historic buildings or cycling are your priority.

Lakes, Walking Trail and Fishing

There is a walking trail by Lake Dammsee, and the lake can also be fished with a fishing permit. Lake Priestersee, Lake Schmiedesee and the Karutzenbruch in Nadrensee can also be fished with a permit. Their areas allow for a straightforward comparison: Karutzenbruch covers 6 ha, Lake Dammsee 5.38 ha, Lake Priestersee 3.37 ha and Lake Schmiedesee 3.32 ha. Lake Priestersee and Lake Schmiedesee are therefore close in area, while Karutzenbruch is the largest of these four bodies of water. Lake Dammsee is the one specifically associated with the walking trail. If fishing is part of your plans, check the current rules and required fishing permit before fishing.

Church and Manor House

The Church of Nadrensee is a small, irregularly coursed fieldstone building dating from the early 14th century. It has a freestanding bell tower built around 1700. The bell inside it was cast as early as 1693 by Johann Jacob Mangold, so the bell and bell tower date from different periods. The altarpiece also offers a specific art-historical detail: it contains paintings of the Descent from the Cross and the Last Supper. The church thus brings together different aspects of architecture, bell history and painting. Nadrensee Manor House adds to the local architectural landscape: it is a two-storey, eleven-bay rendered building with a half-hipped roof. The detailed descriptions of the building and the church offer those interested in architecture different points of reference.

Through Nadrensee on Route 10

Route 10 – East of the Randowbruch runs from Storkow through Nadrensee to Ladenthin. It is about 49 km long and graded as moderate. The route as a whole alternates between quiet country and village roads, cycle paths and a forest track. For planning, both the approximate total distance and the difficulty rating and variety of path types are relevant. Check current route conditions before setting out, as they can change. The route makes Nadrensee a stop on a longer bike ride, and can be considered as a focus in its own right, alongside activities at the lakes and local buildings.
