Cycling and paddling are two clear themes for a stay in Neu Bosse. They are complemented by a stork’s nest on a circular route and the river landscape of the wider Frankenfeld travel destination. Planning can therefore focus on cycling, paddling, and landscape and cultural experiences.
Landscape in the wider Frankenfeld travel destination
In the wider Frankenfeld travel destination, a regulation published on 5 August 2026 describes the Aller-Leine Valley as a natural river floodplain and cultural landscape. Its defining features are the meandering Aller and Leine rivers, with their oxbow lakes and flood dynamics. The landscape also includes extensive, undeveloped grassland areas, wet and dry habitats, natural hedgerows, and mature trees.
Detailed map 6 for the Aller-Leine Valley nature reserve and landscape protection area covers Frankenfeld, Bierde, and Bosse. Before entering areas subject to restrictions, check the current map and applicable regulations.
Cycling in Bosse and Frankenfeld
Bosse is located directly on the premium Aller Cycle Route. A regional section of around 50 kilometres runs between Wietze and Dörverden; it is complemented by eight themed regional loops. The wider route is on a different scale: the 328-kilometre Aller Cycle Route runs through the municipality of Frankenfeld. Together, the local setting, regional section, and full route offer different points of reference when choosing a cycling route. The regional section is therefore approximately one-sixth of the full route.
On the “Gutsherrentour von Nest zu Nest” circular route, there is a stork’s nest in the old village of Bosse. As activity at the nest varies by season, this nature experience is not the same in every travel period.
Paddling: Boats and Tours
At the Aller loop, Bosse Boot offers two-seater kayaks and three-person Canadian canoes for paddling. To choose, you can first compare the number of seats: two in the kayak or three in the canoe. Before travelling, check that the seasonal service is available for your dates.
The “Paddeltour mit Storchenblick” is a paddling tour. Local water conditions can vary; take this into account when planning.
More destinations in the wider Frankenfeld travel destination
The Frankenfeld manor houses in the historic village of Frankenfeld are among the places worth visiting. The Rittergut Frankenfeld campsite is right on the banks of the Aller. The water-skiing course is 200 metres from the campsite’s boat launch; the site is also suitable for waterway trips on the Aller and its tributaries.
Cyclists and walkers can use a well-developed network of paths at the campsite. The landscape there features mature trees and wide views across the Aller. An old lime-tree avenue leads into the village of Frankenfeld. Thus, in the wider Frankenfeld travel destination, paths, waterways, and landscapes complement the perspective on a stay alongside the manor houses.
