The view takes in striking dolomite hills and the grazed calcareous grasslands of Schanzberg. The fixed seating arrangement creates a different focus from the circular hiking trail: here, the emphasis is on a particular landscape view, rather than a route between several places.
Cross-country ski trails with a shared starting point
For winter outings, two cross-country ski trails start at the car park of the Landgasthof Meier in Hilzhofen. The classic Hilzhofen trail runs across the Hilzhofen golf course and is signposted “Nordic Zentrum Neumarkt-Hilzhofen”. The Habsberg trail is 7.6 kilometres long.
