Entressen offers several different reasons to visit: the Étang d’Entressen with its reed beds, the Tour de la Reine Jeanne d’Entressen with its medieval history, and cultural and maritime activities. For planning, it helps to distinguish between the landscape and architectural history on the one hand, and cultural and activity offerings tied to specific dates on the other.
Étang, Reed Beds and the Tour de la Reine Jeanne
The Étang d’Entressen is surrounded by reed beds and lies away from built-up areas. In clear weather, you can see the Alpilles from there. For planning your trip, it is worth making a distinction: the reed beds shape the waterway, while views of the Alpilles depend on clear weather.
The Tour de la Reine Jeanne d’Entressen stands on the edge of the Crau, on the shore of the Étang of the same name. It was built in the 14th century as a military outpost. Its waterside location brings the landscape and history together; its former role as a military outpost gives the historical connection a specific timeframe and context.
Cultural Venues and Individual Event Dates
La Grange, a municipal cultural venue at the entrance to the hamlet of Entressen, hosts cultural and festive events every month. If you want to plan your stay around a specific date, check the current calendar before your trip.
The Chapelle Immaculée Conception d’Entressen also serves as an exhibition venue. If you would like to plan your visit around an exhibition, check the current exhibition program in advance.
Among the individual events in 2025 was a Course de ligue PACA in Camargue bull racing, held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, in the arenas of Entressen. It was organized by the Club Taurin d’Entressen, with the Manades Agu, Chapelle and Tiberio. At 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025, an Abrivado organized by the Club Taurin d’Entressen took place on Avenue de la Crau to mark the club’s 45th anniversary. The two dates differ in the type and location of the event.
Market and Sailing Activities
At the Marché des Producteurs d’Entressen, you can also find artisan-made bread and local beer during the 2026 market season. If you want to visit specifically for these products, bear in mind the seasonal nature of the market and check the exact dates for your travel period.
The Base nautique municipale d’Entressen offers sailing, as well as courses and marine classes without accommodation. These activities are therefore separate from overnight stays: arrange your accommodation independently. Check the current participation requirements before your trip.
A fun discovery tour of Entressen starts at the Centre Social et d’Animation Pierre Miallet. If you plan to take part, check its current availability in advance.
