In Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne, you can explore the landscape and heritage through very different attractions: a viewpoint looks out over the Gorges de la Siagne, while the Circuit des Tuves is a circular hike through the gorge. There is also a chapel with Romanesque features, a group of wells, a historic bridge, a cave and a farm experience day that requires a reservation. When planning, it is worth distinguishing between these offerings by the type of experience they provide.

Gorge view or circular hike?

Place du Point de Vue overlooks the Gorges de la Siagne. If you want to experience the gorge along a route, consider the Circuit des Tuves: the circular trail is 8.1 kilometres long and starts in Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne. It passes through the Gorges de la Siagne and runs between rural remnants and old passageways. The stated distance may change slightly when maps are updated. These offer two different perspectives: the view from Place du Point de Vue and a circular hike that also takes in traces of how the landscape was used.

Chapel, wells and historic bridge

Notre-Dame de Sardaigne is a chapel with features of Romanesque architecture. The present-day building was reconstructed in the first half of the 13th century. The Puits de la Vierge are a group of nine wells, built from the 15th century onwards and given their name in 1865. If you would like to visit the wells, check the access conditions beforehand.

Another historic stop is the Pont des Gabres, also known as the Pont des Tuves. Built in 1802, it crosses the Siagne. It connects Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne in the Alpes-Maritimes department with Montauroux in the Var department. The chapel, group of wells and river crossing each represent a different form of heritage.

Cave visit and farm experience day

The Grotte de Saint-Cézaire invites visitors to explore an underground world shaped by nature over millions of years. Its features include stalactite formations, draperies and striking colours. In contrast, the Chèvrerie du Bois d’Amon focuses on hands-on participation: its farm experience day includes milking goats, tasting warm milk and feeding animals such as goats, ponies and donkeys. The experience day requires a reservation. Cheese-making is also part of the visit, and the cheeses made can be taken home. The cave visit and farm activities therefore offer two different ways to shape your trip.
