Andouillé offers several specific reasons to stay: marked walking trails through the bocage landscape, fly fishing on the Ernée River and produce from La Ferme du Theil. Each has a different focus. Walks centre on the trails and landscape, Roc au Loup offers a clearly defined fishing activity, and at the farm, processing, tastings and guided tours are the main attractions. This lets you choose what to focus on depending on whether you would rather explore on foot, go fishing or learn about the production and tasting of local products.

Walking trails through the bocage landscape

Andouillé has numerous marked walking trails. Walks along these trails pass through the bocage landscape. Both features are useful when planning: the trails are marked, and the walks pass through a distinctive landscape. If you want to set aside time for outdoor exercise, you can make walking a focus in its own right. Unlike fly fishing at Roc au Loup, this is about walks, not a specific type of fishing. The combination of marked trails and bocage gives the walking options a distinctive character. You can therefore enjoy the walks as a separate part of your stay rather than equating them with fishing.

Fly fishing at Roc au Loup

On the Ernée River, the Roc au Loup fishing stretch offers fly fishing on a catch-and-release basis. An 850-metre section is reserved exclusively for fly fishing. This specifies both a particular type of fishing and the length of this section. Under the catch-and-release principle, caught fish are released back into the water. The stretch includes calm and flowing sections as well as rapids; brown trout, rainbow trout, chub and barbel are found there. The water features range from calm to flowing sections and rapids, while the species list includes two types of trout as well as chub and barbel. If you plan to visit the stretch, check operating and access conditions before travelling.

Tastings and tours at La Ferme du Theil

At La Ferme du Theil, apples and pears are processed on the farm into cider, apple juice, Pommeau du Maine AOC, Fine du Maine and Poiré. On-site processing thus turns two types of fruit into a selection of different products. Visitors can sample the cider products. Guided tours are available for groups; individuals can request a guided tour. Individuals are advised to get in touch in advance. Tastings and tours offer different ways to experience the farm: tastings focus on the cider products, while tours are guided. Contact the farm in advance if you would like a guided tour as an individual.

Angus beef sold directly to consumers

Le Roc au Loup sells Angus beef directly to consumers. It is available in 6- or 10-kilogram packs, as well as by the piece. This gives you two ways to buy: a pack in one of the stated sizes or individual purchases. If you are interested in this offer, confirm availability before travelling. The pack sizes make the options clear; buying by the piece is another choice if you do not want a pack.
