Les Trois-Pierres offers cultural discoveries at the Église Saint-Pierre and through its Protestant heritage, as well as two routes: a village walk and a route through several municipalities. The Église Saint-Pierre makes an impression with its architecture, while L'Enclos Protestant stands out for its green setting amid suburban development. This allows architecture, the character of the area and route planning to be considered as distinct points of interest.

La balade du village and the Église Saint-Pierre

La balade du village starts at the car park of the 13th-century Église Saint-Pierre and is 2.6 kilometres long. The route also includes a visit to the Protestant cemetery. This specifies the starting point, distance and a historic point of interest for the village walk.

The church itself can be explored through its architecture: its floor plan is in the shape of a Latin cross, and its nave has a single aisle. A Latin-cross floor plan describes the overall cruciform layout; “single-aisle” refers to a nave with one main aisle, rather than several side aisles. The two terms describe different aspects: the overall shape of the church and the layout of its nave. In addition, a large part of the original structure has been preserved. On the exterior are two exceptional cross-shaped graffiti dating from the 15th century. These features address different questions: the floor plan describes the overall layout, while the graffiti identify two specific exterior details.

L'Enclos Protestant in the local landscape

L'Enclos Protestant is also part of the Protestant heritage: a small green oasis amid suburban development. In 2021, the site received the “Rural Heritage of the Seine-Maritime” label. The designation refers to the rural heritage of Seine-Maritime; at the same time, the contrast between the green space and its built-up surroundings shapes the character of the site. This landscape-focused feature complements the architectural perspective of the Église Saint-Pierre.

Two routes, different points of reference

The two routes can be distinguished by their different features. La balade du village is 2.6 kilometres long, starts at the church car park and includes a visit to the Protestant cemetery. The Circuit de l'Enfer passes through Saint-Romain-de-Colbosc, Les Trois-Pierres and La Remuée; its elevation is given as 115 to 129 metres. This provides a concise comparison for choosing a route: a village walk with a specified distance and historic point of interest, or a route through three municipalities with a stated elevation range.

Local producers and products

Regional produce is also part of the picture in Les Trois-Pierres. Le Panier des Trois Pierres has been certified organic since 2018, maintains close ties with local producers and sells their products. For travellers who want to include regional products in their plans, it offers a specific place to shop. The sale of local produce adds a practical dimension and a connection to producers to the cultural and landscape themes.
