Church history and travel in Boos are grounded in specific facts: Saint-Sauveur Church bears traces of several centuries, and Rouen - Vallée de Seine Airport is located in the municipality. In addition, there are event programmes from 2023 and 2025. If you are planning to travel for an event, check the dates and programme for the relevant edition.
Church and Colombier: Boos’s history across different periods
Saint-Sauveur Church in Boos bears traces dating back to the 13th century; the choir and nave date from the 16th and 17th centuries. These dates refer to different parts and periods. Later repairs are also part of the building’s history: the bell tower, sacristy, roof and porch were repaired several times during the 18th and 19th centuries. The history of the church therefore cannot be reduced to a single year of construction. Historically, it was under the patronage of Saint-Amand Abbey in Rouen (Seine-Maritime).
Another historical landmark is the Colombier de Boos. It has been classified as a Monument Historique by decree since 1889. Together with the church’s different historical periods, it offers a specific focus for anyone interested in the area’s architectural and local history during their stay.
Festival programmes from two different years
The Fête de la Moisson was held on 7 September 2025 as a new edition in Boos’s municipal park. A farmers’ market began at 10 a.m. The programme also included a mini-farm, a tractor parade, an exhibition of tractors and vintage vehicles, and a demonstration of traditional threshing. Pony rides with Alisa for children aged 3 to 6 and carriage rides were also on the programme. The edition thus brought together a market and agricultural demonstrations with activities involving animals and vehicles.
Tout Boos Bouge had a different event profile: in September 2023, the sports event was held for the fifth time. The programme included mountain biking, cycling and hiking, as well as a pétanque tournament, dancing, running and body karate. Zoé was able to take part in the walking event thanks to the support of the API Joelette Team. The two years show different focuses: the Fête de la Moisson centred on harvest and agriculture, while Tout Boos Bouge focused on activity and sport. The activities listed relate to the edition held in the year specified.
