Bois-Guillaume combines trails for outdoor activities with nature and cultural themes. The ForĂŞt Verte offers longer walks and bike rides; the forest is close to the town centre. The municipality has numerous walking and cycling paths. Many routes can be used on foot, on horseback or by bike. The details that matter for your plans depend on whether you are guided by a route length, specific stopping points or a nature theme.

Trails, Routes and Nature

The 11-kilometre “Cailly-Robec” cycling route passes through Bois-Guillaume and runs between Maromme station and Carrefour de la Vielle. Another option is the “Plaine de la Ronce” cycling route: in Bois-Guillaume, it runs from north to south, between the ZAC de la Plaine de la Ronce and Carrefour de la Vielle. Along the way, it passes Rouges Terres Cemetery, Sente des Forrières, Avenue Henri Dunant and Chemin de la Bretèque. Check the current route signs before setting out.

The two routes can be distinguished by different features: the Cailly-Robec is described by its length and endpoints, while the Plaine de la Ronce is described by its north–south direction and stopping points. The “Mares en verger” biodiversity trail has a different focus. It starts at the corner of Rue Noble Épine and Rue Tourne Midi, near number 545 Rue du Tourne Midi. Along the trail, it provides information about natural habitats such as ponds, hedgerows, an orchard and the forest.

Cultural History in the Town

The Church of Sainte Trinité preserves the lantern tower and the former nave of the older church. The Manoir presbytéral is a rare half-timbered building listed in the General Inventory of France’s Historic Monuments and Treasures. Its more recent history is also linked to cultural activities: after almost two years of work, the manor house was restored in 2010 and opened its doors to activities such as music theory, visual arts and sculpture.

Espace Guillaume le Conquérant is a venue at 1530 Rue de la Haie. Together with the church and the manor house, it complements the trails and nature themes with cultural destinations in Bois-Guillaume. This gives you a choice of different focuses when planning: a bike ride, a trail with information about habitats, or exploring the town’s architectural heritage.

Family Activities and Horses

Parc Andersen is a two-hectare area classified as woodland. It has a large playground that can accommodate around forty children aged 2 to 12 at a time. The size and age range offer a specific point of reference for families considering this activity as part of their day’s plans.

The Bois-Guillaume pony club offers riding lessons for children aged 4 to 17 from Monday to Saturday. During school holidays, it also offers riding courses, outings, competitions and treks; times may vary. If you plan a visit or activity there, check the relevant dates in advance.

Bus Connections

Bus route F1 connects Rouges Terres in Bois-Guillaume with Zénith-Parc Expo in Grand-Quevilly. Bus 321 runs from Collège L. de Vinci in Bois-Guillaume to Gare-Rue Verte in Rouen.
