Anzin-Saint-Aubin brings together golf, river landscapes and architectural history. Golf d’Arras has two courses, while the natural Scarpe runs through the town. Paths, green spaces and historic buildings offer further ways to discover the commune. Depending on your interests, you can choose from a range of highlights for your stay.
Golf between ponds and rivers
Golf d’Arras has an 18-hole course and a 9-hole course. Both are set in hilly countryside among ponds and rivers. If you are including golf in your travel plans, you’ll find two course sizes in one place. The facility is located at 1020 Rue Briquet Taillandier, 62223 Anzin-Saint-Aubin. Check the course details before your trip if you have a particular course in mind.
Green spaces, the Scarpe and walking routes
The Coulée verte is a grassy green space with trees and shrubs. Footpaths with benches run through the area. Tree-lined paths, open natural areas and places to sit invite you to stroll, run or relax in the shade. This means you can enjoy the greenery in different ways: staying active or taking time to linger. The municipal pond also offers a place to spend time together outdoors.
The Sentier d’Anzin runs alongside the golf course and the Scarpe. It forms a loop towards Arras or via Marœuil. This description provides a clear indication of the route and its direction without assuming a particular walking time. The natural Scarpe runs through Anzin-Saint-Aubin; the Vallée de la Scarpe is characterised by meadows, farmland and wetlands.
The Vallée de la Scarpe corridor extends beyond Anzin-Saint-Aubin and supports environmentally friendly mobility as well as outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing and cycling. It also includes the ZNIEFF “La haute vallée de la Scarpe entre Frévin-Cappelle et Anzin-St-Aubin, le bois de Maroeuil et la vallée du Gy en aval de Gouves”. It is designated as a valley area of ecological, faunal and floral interest; tourism and leisure are among the activities there.
Church, Château-mairie and chapel
The Église d’Anzin-Saint-Aubin was consecrated in 1885 and dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. From late 1915 to 1918, it served as a hospital for wounded French soldiers and later English soldiers. Its history thus combines a religious dedication with a later wartime use. The Château-mairie dates from the 17th century, and the chapel from the 16th century. Together, the buildings offer different historical points of reference: the chapel is the oldest, followed by the Château-mairie, while the church dates from the 19th century.
Green spaces and culture for families
Parc de la Goutte d’eau offers play facilities, shady areas and a well-maintained setting for young children. The Coulée verte complements this with paths, benches and natural open spaces. The two places offer different experiences: play and shade in the park, and walks and tranquillity in the green space.
The Médiathèque Albert Uderzo offers digital workshops every week as well as events for children. If you want to attend a particular event, check the current programme in advance, as event times may change. Alongside the area’s landscapes and history, regular cultural activities are also available to help you plan your visit.
