Ramonchamp offers short circular trails, a moderate hike and a red mountain bike route, as well as a church, chapel and farm visits by appointment. The routes vary in length, difficulty and stated duration; the cultural attractions complement the natural experiences with local history.

Hiking between the Voie Verte and Étang Noir

The Circuit poussette de Ramonchamp is a 3.2-kilometre circular route, with an estimated duration of about 1 hour and 40 minutes. It starts at the town hall and follows the Voie Verte des Hautes Vosges. The route gives you the opportunity to discover the village of Ramonchamp and the banks of the Moselle. The Voie Verte is freely accessible and is used for walking, cycling, roller sports and roller skiing.

The Circuit de la Roche Jolie is an easy, family-friendly circular route covering 5.4 kilometres, with 110 metres of elevation gain and a stated duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. It is longer than the Circuit poussette, and its stated duration is also longer than the approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes given for that route. The trail leads to an information board, an arboretum and the La Maix playground.

For a longer hike, try the moderately difficult Randonnée de l'Étang Noir: it is 11 kilometres long, has 336 metres of elevation gain and, according to the stated duration, takes 3 hours and 15 minutes. The route starts and ends in Ramonchamp. At the Noir Étang waterfall, it crosses a wooden bridge and then reaches Étang Noir. There is a picnic table by the pond; at the far end of the pond, a viewpoint overlooks the waterfall. Check the condition of the picnic table on site.

Mountain biking and views

The signposted Itinéraire VTT n° 1 – Col de Morbieux starts at the town hall. It is rated as a red mountain bike route and covers 16 kilometres with 550 metres of elevation gain. The route offers views of Ramonchamp from Roche Jolie, Chalet de Salmon and Bénapré. It also passes through forests near Col de Morbieux, where rest chalets are located. This ride therefore focuses on both viewpoints and forest sections.

Church and chapel

The Église Saint-Rémy-et-Saint-Blaise de Ramonchamp was built in 1684. In 1732, it received an organ donated by Abbé Georges d'Ogeron. The church also houses a 1950 painting by Lecomte commemorating the First World War.

The Chapelle des Breucheux is dedicated to Notre-Dame du Bon Conseil. It was built in 1957 by children from Ramonchamp in memory of comrades affected by the war. From the town centre, you can reach the chapel by car or on foot via a trail marked with blue diamonds. Check trail conditions on site.

Farm visit by appointment

The Ferme du Dahu Barbu is located in Ramonchamp, in the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park. Farm tours and tastings of farm products are available by appointment. For travellers who want to include agriculture and farm products in their explorations, this offers a distinct activity alongside the hiking and cultural attractions.
