Farébersviller can be explored from two different perspectives: culture, with historic buildings and events, and leisure activities, ranging from a large indoor facility to sports areas. So, when planning your visit, first consider whether you are mainly looking for architectural history and cultural events or want to explore active pursuits. The venues differ in format and visiting conditions.
Culture and Events
The village church of Farébersviller dates from the 18th century; beside it stands a round bell tower from the 12th century. The tower is therefore considerably older than the church. The Maison des Arts has a different historical background: it is housed in a farmhouse believed to be almost three centuries old, which was restored and renamed the Maison des Arts. The venue regularly hosts exhibitions and intimate performances. Outside scheduled events, it can only be viewed from the outside. So, if you want to visit the Maison des Arts, plan around its scheduled events.
The event formats also differ. Sustainability Week has been held every year since its first edition in 2011. Far en fête is a festival day organized by the municipal cultural department together with local associations. If you want one of these events to determine your travel dates, check the event schedule in advance.
Indoor Leisure and Sports
B'Fun Park at the Centre Commercial B'Est offers more than 5,500 m² of indoor activities. These include 12 bowling lanes and a 1,000 m² trampoline area with modules suitable for all age groups. The total area and the trampoline zone refer to different sizes: the trampoline area is one part of the larger indoor offering. The mix of activities and the availability of individual options may change. Before your visit, check whether the activity you have planned is available.
Another kind of sports facility is the 30 × 15-metre City-stade in Central Park, in the heart of the housing estate and surrounded by greenery. You can play basketball, handball, volleyball and mini-football there for free. By contrast, the Marcel Cerdan sports complex brings together several spaces: a large multi-purpose sports hall, a dojo, and a dance and gymnastics hall. Basketball, volleyball, handball and tennis are played in the multi-purpose sports hall; the dojo is intended for martial arts practitioners. This means that the sports facilities are spread across different venues and uses.
B'Est and Travel Planning
On the B'Est site, 18 hectares of green spaces and orchards surround the buildings. This adds a green element to the location alongside the indoor offerings at B'Fun Park. Fluo Grand Est bus route 24 serves the B'Est shopping centre. If you plan to use this bus service for your visit, check the latest timetable in advance, as routes and service patterns may change.
