Basse-Ham offers several leisure options: water sports and the marina, exploring on foot or by bike, and swimming and wellness. Nautic'Ham brings together a range of waterside activities; hikes, circular routes and the Centre Aquatique Communautaire Hamelys offer other options. You can plan your stay around outdoor activities, water sports and the swimming pool.

Water sports, marina and wellness

The Nautic'Ham water sports and leisure centre welcomes boaters and campers all year round. The marina has 104 berths for boats measuring 5 to 25 metres in length. At Nautic'Ham, you can hire pedal boats, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and electric boats. If you are planning to bring your own boat, the number of berths and boat lengths provide useful details; if you would rather hire a watercraft, there are several types to choose from.

Cap 250 offers beginner and advanced sailing courses, as well as stand-up paddleboarding sessions and equipment hire. The activities differ in format: sailing is taught at two course levels, while stand-up paddleboarding sessions are paired with equipment hire.

La Yole Hamoise offers rowing for leisure, touring and competition. It also rents sit-on-top kayaks for one or three people. Rowing is therefore available in three different formats, while the kayak hire options vary according to the number of people.

Nautic'Ham also has a wellness and fitness area. It includes a spa, hammam, sensory showers and a tea area, as well as a sports area and gym. Wellness and training are further options alongside the water sports activities.

Hiking and cycling

The Les Sabots Hamois hiking club offers two hikes a week in the forests of the municipality and surrounding area. It also organises an IVV hike every July. The hiking options differ in frequency: there are two hikes a week, along with an annual event in July. If you would like to include the IVV hike in your travel plans, check the exact event date.

The Circuit du Port circular route starts at the car park of Basse-Ham's water sports and leisure centre. The Basse-Ham to Knutange cycling loop is 35 kilometres long and rated easy. The two routes have different useful details to help you choose: the Circuit du Port has a named starting point, while the cycling loop is described by its distance and difficulty rating.

Swimming at Hamelys

The Centre Aquatique Communautaire Hamelys has a leisure pool with a balneotherapy area featuring massage beds and a current channel. There is also a children's area with a paddling pool and water play area. The centre combines a leisure pool and balneotherapy with a dedicated area for children. Nautic'Ham and Hamelys have different focuses: Nautic'Ham centres on the marina, water sports, wellness and fitness, while Hamelys offers a leisure pool, balneotherapy and a children's area.
