The Sentier des Douaniers connects Macinaggio and Centuri along a 19-kilometer coastal hike. Its starting point in Macinaggio is on the beach north of the marina. The section between Macinaggio and Barcaggio takes about three to three and a half hours. The 19 kilometers refer to the entire route to Centuri; the time estimate applies only to the section to Barcaggio. Tamarone Beach is accessible on foot from Macinaggio via the Sentier des Douaniers. Traces of History
No structural remains of the Tour de Macinaggio survive today; the only reference is a painting in the Church of Saint Marc de Macinaggio. The tower is believed to have stood at the mouth of the Goielli stream, in the southern part of today’s harbor.
