Loguivy-Lès-Lannion brings together Saint-Ivy heritage and the Léguer: a church, two named fountains and a circular walk give the place a distinct cultural focus; the GR® 34 also passes through here. If you are looking for accommodation in Loguivy-Lès-Lannion, you can plan your trip around a specific purpose: discover historic sites, arrange a guided tour or reach the village along a walking route.

Church and Saint-Ivy heritage

The Église Saint-Yvi de Loguivy is partially classified as a historic monument. The cemetery enclosure and the Saint-Yvi fountains were classified as historic monuments on 2 March 1912. This means that both the church and other local features have a designated protected status.

Individual objects also point to different periods. The church’s bell tower houses a bronze bell cast in 1785. In the choir stands a 16th-century statue titled “Statue de Saint Patrice?, dite de Saint Yvi”. The church interior also includes a Nativity altarpiece carved from oak, dating from the time of Louis XIII; visiting arrangements for the altarpiece may vary. Together, these details give the heritage specific names, materials and historical references.

Two fountains on the Léguer

There are two Saint-Ivy fountains in Loguivy-Lès-Lannion: the Fontaine Saint-Ivy du Haut and the Fontaine Saint-Ivy de la Rive. The latter lies below the cemetery enclosure, at the end of Quai à Sable and on the left bank of the Léguer. A staircase leads to it. Its riverside location and connection to the enclosure make it a destination in its own right within the local heritage.

The Fontaine Saint-Ivy de la Rive dates from the 16th century and was restored in 1970. Historically, it supplied boats with fresh water at high tide.

Circular walk, hiking route and dates

The “Parcours d’interprétation du Patrimoine” is described as a 1.5-kilometre circular walk lasting two hours. Both details are useful for planning: the distance gives the length of the route, while the duration indicates the estimated time required.

In July and August, guided tours following in the footsteps of Saint Ivy and local legends take place on Tuesdays at 2:30 p.m. The starting point is Quai au Sable. Check the current dates for the seasonal programme before your trip.

The GR® 34 from Lannion to Morlaix reaches Loguivy-Lès-Lannion after first following the left bank of the Léguer and then continuing along the road. If you plan to take this route, check the latest trail conditions before setting out.

Since 2025, the Église Saint-Yvi has been part of the Circuit des Chapelles; participation in future programmes may change. Independently of this, the Pardon de Saint-Ivy takes place every year on the first weekend of May. Check the exact event programme before your trip.

The activities have different timing considerations: the circular walk has a stated distance and duration, while the guided tours depend on the season, day of the week and start time. This makes it possible to plan your stay around a specific cultural event or a route of your own choosing.
