Lac de Carcans-Hourtin is France’s largest natural freshwater lake, covering 62 km². Trails from the lakeshore to the Atlantic
The Sentier du Lac à Maubuisson is an easy, 7 km hiking trail that takes 2 hours to walk. Its distance, difficulty level and duration give you a clear basis for deciding whether to include a hike in your day’s plans.
The Boucle des Cavalles offers a different point of reference. It starts at Place du Pôle, opposite the Carcans-Maubuisson Tourist Office, and heads towards Domaine de Bombannes.
