A photo opportunity at Marco Zero, waterfronts with different focuses, and a traditional cavalgada offer several reasons to plan a trip to Santa Clara d'Oeste.

Marco Zero and Praia do COTI

Praia do COTI or the former Porto Itamarati are recommended as embarkation and disembarkation areas for Marco Zero do Rio Paraná. The Three Borders Monument at Marco Zero is a good spot for photos. Praia do COTI has 18 kiosks, restrooms, sports courts, a children's playground and a snack bar. There are also views of and access to the Rio Paraná. Opposite Marco Zero lies Prainha Municipal do Coti. Its recreational area is used for relaxation and fishing.

Rivers and recreation

In the context of Marco Zero, the Rio Paranaíba is designated as a tourist attraction for nautical tourism and fishing. Nautical activities are available to visitors on the Rio Grande in Santa Clara d'Oeste; it also has tourism potential for fishing. Nautical recreation and fishing are important on both rivers. On the Rio Grande, tourism also focuses on recreation and leisure activities for visitors.

Water park, marina and camping

Grandes Lagos Resort e Parque Aquático is associated with leisure, fishing and camping tourism. A 2022 description mentions the Octopus complex at Grandes Lagos Water Park, with seven water slides, as well as a wave pool with twelve types of waves. A 2022 description links Marina Grandes Lagos with family boat trips to Marco Zero and notes that it has facilities for boats up to 32 feet long. Since both detailed descriptions date from 2022, check that the activities described are currently operating before you visit.

The Circuito Tucuna Free sport fishing festival takes place in Santa Clara d'Oeste. It includes an opening show and an awards ceremony at the end, held at Grandes Lagos Thermas Clube. The traditional cavalgada is a procession that ends in front of Igreja da Matriz so that the riders can receive Santa Clara's blessing. If the festival or procession is a key part of your trip, check the event dates in advance. Santa Clara d'Oeste is also part of the Rota dos Tropeiros and one of the 14 municipalities in Agência Entre Rios de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Turístico.
