Rolim de Moura offers two different starting points for planning a trip: the traditional Expoagro and the history of specific places in the city. Would you like to plan your stay around a particular event, or are you more interested in historical points of reference? This choice mainly affects your timing and the places you make a point of visiting.

Expoagro and cultural events

The traditional EXPOAGRO – Exposição Agropecuária de Rolim de Moura is an agricultural exhibition. Its program includes shows, rodeos, an agricultural fair, and activities for the production sector. This mix combines entertainment with agricultural themes; not every part of the program is equally aimed at visitors. So check which elements of that particular edition suit your interests. Dates and specific program items may vary from one edition to the next. Looking at the character of the specific edition—not just the event’s name—can help you plan your trip.

The report on the 2026 edition describes the Cavalgada da Expoagro as one of the city’s largest cultural events. Dates and the route may change, so check the details for the specific edition before setting your travel dates.

City history at specific locations

A different perspective is offered by a city tour organized for a student group. Rolim de Moura’s tourism department organized it in 2023 based on suggestions from the school; it included photo stops and explanations about the history of the places visited. The group visited Praça Durvalino Oliviera in the center of Rolim de Moura and learned about the square’s history. Estádio Municipal Angelo Cassol in the Bairro Jardim Tropical was also one of the stops; the students learned about its history and significance. Other places visited included the Marco Zero of Rolim de Moura and the statue of former mayor João Batista Dias, known as Batistão.

Combining photo stops with historical explanations made the tour a mix of site visits and history education. If you plan to visit these places yourself, check in advance what options are currently available at each one.

Other places to visit

Santuário Jardim Paraíso is located near kilometer 12 on the south side of Linha 172 in Rolim de Moura. The visit took place elsewhere: on August 25, 2022, a student group took part in a guided visit at Espaço Ecológico e Recreativo Gaia Amiga and was given access to the sensory garden.

The location information refers to the Santuário; the historical guided visit, including access to the sensory garden, took place at Gaia Amiga. If you want to include either destination in your plans, check in advance what visiting options are currently available.
