Ribeirão Claro brings together cultural history, coffee and pilgrimage, along with themes of landscape and activity. Offerings range from a guided coffee tasting to a rural breakfast; they also include a one-of-a-kind pilgrimage site, a rock formation 850 m above sea level and a zipline. When choosing where to stay, it is worth first deciding what matters most to you: coffee, heritage, pilgrimage and landscape each offer a different perspective on the place.

Ponte Alves Lima: A Link and a Heritage Site

The Ponte Alves Lima connects Ribeirão Claro in the state of Paraná with Chavantes in the state of São Paulo. It has twice been protected as a historic heritage site at the state level. Geography and heritage offer two distinct perspectives here: a connection between two states and its double designation as a protected site.

Coffee Tasting and a Rural Breakfast

Fazenda Pinhalzinho has a laboratory for coffee tasting and classification, where a specialist guides visitors through a blind tasting. The focus here is on careful tasting and expert assessment. Fazenda Monte Belo takes a different approach: it is part of the Rota do Café and starts visiting days with a rural breakfast featuring natural or handmade products. The two offerings therefore differ in format. Pinhalzinho combines coffee with a guided blind tasting and classification, while Monte Belo offers breakfast as the start of the visit. If culinary interests are your main consideration, you can weigh these two types of visit against each other.

Pilgrimage and Cultural Dedication

The Santuário de São Vicente de Pallotti in Ribeirão Claro is the only pilgrimage site in the world dedicated to Saint Vincent Pallotti. It welcomes pilgrims seeking his intercession. Its religious purpose is clear: the Santuário is an option for travelers on a pilgrimage. Casa da Cultura, dedicated to Luiz Carlos Paraná, offers a different cultural connection. During construction work, only exterior visits were possible; check access arrangements before visiting. This helps distinguish the cultural themes: pilgrimage at the Santuário, and dedication and access arrangements at Casa da Cultura.

Rock Formation and Zipline

Morro do Gavião adds a landscape dimension to the cultural and culinary themes: it is a rock formation 850 m above sea level. Unlike the coffee farms, the emphasis here is on the shape of the landscape. Fazenda São João offers another focus on activities with its zipline. If you would like to include it in your plans, check the current operating arrangements in advance. These offer two distinct points of interest: a landscape feature at Morro do Gavião and a specific activity at Fazenda São João.
