In the center of Santana do Riacho stands the Igreja de Santana, a Catholic church dedicated to the town’s patron saint, Sant’ana. It is a religious heritage site. Lapinha da Serra lies at an elevation of 1,100 meters on a plateau between two ridges of the Serra do CipĂł. Access to Cachoeira Serra Morena in the Serra do CipĂł region of the municipality is different: it is easy to reach and suitable for families and groups. The natural area includes the Serra Morena I and Serra Morena II waterfalls. The larger one has a free fall of about 100 meters, with a 300-square-meter natural pool below. Visitors can swim, hike, and observe the fauna and flora. Cachoeira Serra Morena is surrounded by gallery forest, Cerrado vegetation, and Campos Rupestres. Lapa da Sucupira is also in the rural part of the municipality and is part of the Rota Origens das Rotas do Cipó. The guided visit includes an easy walk of about one kilometer, takes a total of one hour and 30 minutes, and is suitable for visitors of all ages.
