Seefeld combines architectural history with wine-growing landscapes. A hiking trail leads to the Seefeld Kellerberg, with its old wine presses and castle winery; in Seefeld’s cellar lane, wine cellars are nestled among gentle hills. St. Anna Parish Church adds to the historic highlights, while the Seefeld-Kadolz outdoor swimming pool offers a seasonal attraction. You can tailor your stay around culture, wine, or swimming.

Castle and parish church: historical milestones

Seefeld Castle was built in the early 18th century on the foundations of the old Kuenenringerburg castle. The older castle and the later building thus represent two historical layers: the castle provided the foundations, while the palace dates to the early 18th century. St. Anna Parish Church was first mentioned as a chapel in 1382 and remodeled in 1726–1728. For St. Anna, these dates mark two different events: its first mention and a later remodeling. The historical milestones therefore span the 14th to the 18th century.

Cellar lanes, Kellerberg, and wine

Seefeld’s cellar lane offers insights into the region’s winemaking traditions; its wine cellars are nestled among gentle hills. A hiking trail leads to the Seefeld Kellerberg, with its old wine presses and castle winery. The Großkadolz Kellertrift offers a different kind of cellar landscape, with around 200 cellars and wine presses. When choosing a wine-related experience, you can distinguish between Seefeld’s hills and wine traditions, the Kellerberg hiking destination, and the approximate size of the Großkadolz Kellertrift.

The Euregio Vinothek Seefeld-Kadolz complements the regional wine experience with wine, sparkling wine, spirits, liqueurs, and juices from the Pulkau Valley. This takes the theme of wine from the cultural landscape to a specific product range. Product availability may change; check the current selection if you plan to visit the wine shop specifically.

Outdoor swimming pool and seasonal planning

The Seefeld-Kadolz outdoor swimming pool has a heated lap pool and a children’s pool, as well as a water slide and a baby pool with a slide. It is situated amid a riverside landscape. Unlike the architectural and wine-landscape attractions, the pool is a seasonal highlight; its operating details may change. Check them before your visit if swimming is a fixed part of your travel plans. The riverside landscape around the pool differs from the gentle hills of the cellar lane, bringing together swimming and wine country with two distinct landscape features.

Tailor your stay to your interests

The wine-related experiences differ in their landscapes, hiking destination, approximate scale, and product range: the cellar lane, Kellerberg, Kellertrift, and wine shop each offer something different. You do not need to follow a set itinerary; prioritize them according to your interests and whether the seasonal outdoor pool fits into your plans.
